Spotlighting Growing Roots Partners

At the heart of so many beloved community events and farmers markets throughout Chester County is one incredible organization working behind the scenes to bring people together, Growing Roots Partners.

Since 2013, Growing Roots has been creating meaningful connections between local farmers, artisans, food producers, and the communities they serve through thoughtfully curated farmers markets and community events. Their weekly markets in Downingtown, Malvern, and Exton have become staple gathering places where neighbors can shop local, support small businesses, and enjoy fresh, high-quality products sourced right from our region.

More than just a place to shop, these markets have become true community gathering spaces, a chance to slow down, connect with neighbors, meet local growers, and celebrate everything that makes our area special. From seasonal produce and fresh flowers to baked goods, handmade products, and live local energy, every market day feels like a community celebration.

One of the things we admire most about Growing Roots is their passion for telling the stories behind the people who grow and create the goods we enjoy every day. Their “Good Farms, Good Food, Good People” initiative highlights the hardworking farmers, makers, and producers who are such an important part of our local food community.

They even extend that storytelling through their cooking and food content, featuring local growers and creating delicious meals inspired by fresh market ingredients, another thoughtful way they continue connecting the community to local food and the people behind it.

Beyond the farmers markets, Growing Roots also produces some of the area’s most loved community events, including Good Food Fest, Craft & Mercantile, Christmas on King, and Downingtown Fall Fest, events that celebrate local creativity, food, small businesses, and the strong sense of connection that makes this area feel like home.

As a community-focused team ourselves, we’re grateful for organizations like Growing Roots Partners that continue creating spaces where local businesses can thrive, families can gather, and meaningful connections can grow. Their work is a reminder that supporting local truly strengthens the heart of our communities.

We’re excited to continue spotlighting the people and organizations making a difference throughout our area,  and we highly encourage you to stop by one of the Growing Roots markets this season and experience the community spirit for yourself.
